How are we supposed to take what he says—seriously?

Topic 1 – Consider how the meaning of something said depends upon the person who says it. Who is the speaker How are we supposed to take what he says—seriously?here? To whom is he speaking? What does he want? Do you think he’ll get it? How are we supposed to take what he says—seriously? skeptically? with laughter? The point is to think about a narrator’s position and how that position influences readers.
