Consider the following points on theme and character: A story’s theme is made up of several components. Character is one of these. Individual characters can and often do have different relationships to the story’s theme.Look at all major characters in your chosen story. It is common for characters to generate and dramatize the theme through theirinteraction. Analyze how the characters interact. Literary characters in good stories are not static; they change through their actions. Thesechanges relate to and create the theme.
