Analyzing Big Data

The assignment is to analyze a big data technology using one (or more) of the theories we have covered in class. The term “big data technology” is meant very broadly here – it refers to a use of big data, an app, a particular physical technology that uses big data (GPS, Alexa, etc). Theories is also meant broadly. Some examples are the descriptions from Viktor Mayer-Schönburger and Kenneth Cukier such as correlation versus causation, all or some etc., Winner’s mythinformation (but not forms of life since that was the previous assignment), O’Neil’s description of weapons of math destruction, Igo or Merton on privacy, professionals, and so on.(Please use the topic of artificial intelligence in the medial filed and make sure to use the theories from the listed above books)Make sure all sources used are academic studies, analysis articles in newspapers, and in-depth magazine reports
