The three new sources has to be from Miami Dade College Database.Your discussion section is your argument! Answer this: based on what you have learned from your literature review and your three new sources, what is the best solution to the problem at hand? Why should your solution be adopted by the reader? To persuade your audience you will use the following argumentation principles: you will argue from Precedent, Consequence and Principle.•Arguments from Precedent argue that action should take place because doing so is similar to what was done in another case. For example, if your paper topic is homelessness perhaps there is a non-profit in Chicago that helps provide jobs for homeless people. You would be arguing from principle if you cite and discuss this nonprofit and then explain why that idea may also work in Miami. The move is to say, because it works there it may work here•Arguments from Principle argue that a solution should be enacted because it is the right thing to do according to some value, assumption, principle, or belief you share with your audience. Here is where you appeal to the values of you audience. For example, you would be arguing from principle if you use a testimonial from YouTube, a compelling story of a former homeless person or you simply convincing your audience that they should care about the issue. Arguments from principle attempt to move the reader, making them feel connected to the issue and allowing them to empathize with the people being affected.•Arguments from Consequence argue that action should take place because doing so will lead to positive results that your audience may think are good, and might avoid negative consequences that alternatives might cause, including not doing anything. Here you can use statistics, evidence, and facts to persuade your audience through logic.Follow the argumentation strategies and as you develop your argument, engage the reader in thinking critically about the issue based upon an evidence-based interpretation of your findings. This section should demonstrate your ability as a researcher to think critically about an issue, to develop creative solutions to problems based upon a logical synthesis of the findings, and to formulate a deeper, more profound understanding of the research problem under investigation. Other important elements to include is to highlight the importance of your study and how it can contribute to understanding the research problem within the field of study.
