Goyeo Tech is a start-up company based in London. They have developed wearable technology aimed at students. The technology automatically reminds them of class times and assignment deadlines. In the class it takes real time notes and sends a small electric shock to the wearer when they are not focusing on what they should be.They both have different ideas about CSR and the direction they want the company to take. Currently the product is created in Arianna’s garage, however they are planning to outsource the production to a Special Economic Zone in the Philippines. Arianna is worried about how shipping the product will impact on the environment whereas Luna thinks technology will soon make this more sustainable. Arianna believes the company should donate 50% of their profit to charities, she is also concerned about doing business in a country perceived as corrupt. Luna on the other hand believes her only responsibility is to make as much money for the company as possible.(Challenges to implementing and mitigation)
