This has never been truer than it is now with the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are many ways that technology has been used by the government, health care organizations, and consumers. After reading the chapter and researching the topic, reply to the following questions:

1. Describe the purpose and significance of public health surveillance systems. Search for one example of a specific surveillance system used to track COVID-19 and provide a brief description.

2. Aside from surveillance systems, many of other types and uses of health technology have been engaged in the war against the virus. Using an example in the posted articles or the news headlines, provide an example of one such technology. Describe its role and how it was used to support public health.
