Discuss Math Anxiety in the Classroom.
As a subject area, mathematics seems to always be a source of anxiety for students and even teachers. So much of a student’s confidence and success in math can be attributed not only to the effectiveness of the teacher, but also to the teacher’s ability to create a classroom culture of high expectations and respect. As a teacher, how would you begin to build content knowledge in your students while decreasing math anxiety?
