Personal Improvement Project: Emotional Intelligence is crucial for effective leadership and management. Emotional intelligence requires self-awareness, ability to manage one’s emotions, capability to motivate oneself, empathy for others, and effective social skills. Regardless of your career choice, there will be times when you will be expected to manage personal change—yours and/or others’. For this project, you will be expected to engage in a personal improvement process that will last the entire semester—and hopefully for a lifetime. “What is one thing that you are not doing now that if you began to do would greatly improve the quality of your life?” Your answer to this question will become the objective of your personal improvement project.
