Discuss the impacts of Gun Violence.

Imagine you are running to be elected mayor of a town riddled by gun violence. You are asked to speak at a town hall meeting full of victims and change-advocates. Considering the information provided by Fareed Zakaria’s Global Lessons on Guns and using Wright’s “The Man Who Was Almost a Man” as a cautionary tale, in 4-6 pages, create a speech that presents your points of view on gun ownership and gun violence, what plans you have to address the issues, and how you plan on enforcing them. You may address an actual town or an imaginary town. If it’s real, nonetheless, be sure to do your research and incorporate the statistics in your speech. Be sure to incorporate in your speech a thesis-driven explanation inspired by Wright’s story. Draw a connection between Wright’s Dave and the people you are campaigning to govern. In your speech, you may consider how Wright represents Dave’s internal struggle, what Wright intended for the gun to represent, and why Dave was so adamant about possessing a gun..
