Discuss the impacts of Sexuality.

We have been discussing sexuality and STD’s this week in class. Adina Nack’s article focuses on the necessity of discussing not only the risk for pregnancy but also the risk to sexual health when not engaging in protected sex or abstinence. She notes that these discussions should be had between two groups of people: 1) parents and their children and 2) sexual partners.

Brainstorm ideas on a separate sheet of paper about various icebreakers that sexual partners could use with one another to make it easier to discuss something as stigmatized as STD’s and sexual health with one another. Be realistic about your brainstorming on the ice breakers. Then, in your post, address the kinds of things that should be discussed between partners regarding sexual health (Nack discusses this in her article). Provide 1 ice breaker from your brainstorming and briefly (1 -2 sentences) discuss why you think it could ease the embarrassment of talking about this for the partners.
