The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate that students are able to design and implement a single case evaluation design using a client as the subject of the study. Students will demonstrate an understanding of basic research design including identifying a research question, determining measurable methods, gathering data and data analysis
(My client expressed to me that she had gained weighing wanted to lose the weight she gained as a result of her over-eating)

1)Problem Statement-provide a brief description of the client. Identify the problem behavior. The problem behavior is your dependent variable. Articulate a research question for your study. Articulate a hypothesis for your study
2)Measurement- define and operationalize your dependent variable. what will be your source of data? Who will take the measurements? Will it be self-report? How will you triangulate your measures? Discuss the reliability and validity of your measures. Discuss how you will address issues of reactivity.
3)Intervention-Considering the client, their problem, and research on the effectiveness of interventions, what intervention should you use? Describe in detail the intervention you will use in the study. Cite at least one peer reviewed journal article on the effectiveness of this intervention. The intervention is your independent variable
4)Design- What research design will you use? AB design? ABA design? how long will your phases be? How often will you collect data? What kind of baseline data will you collect? Retrospective or concurrent? Justify your decision.
5)Data- Report baseline data. Report intervention data. Using excel, chart data. Visually analyze your data. Discuss stability and continuity
6-Discuss your results. What are your limitations of your study? Are there any issues with internal and external validity?
