For this assignment, each of you will choose and read one of the articles provided (Animal Well-Being Article, Review of Drone Warfare, or Editorial on Hope, Optimism, and Delusion) and provide an analysis of that piece. Your rough draft will then be turned in via the Google Drive Folder titled “Peer Review 1:”

Assignment Expectations:

Firstly, you will write a summary of what your chosen piece was about. Secondly, you will discuss who the intended audience is, what the purpose of the piece is, and the overall effectiveness of the piece as a whole. Was the piece easy to follow, was the writing clear and concise, and was the organization of the paper understandable and followable? End your analysis by discussing if the author met the expectation for you as an audience: if it was an informative piece, did you learn something new; if it was a persuasive piece, did it persuade you or make you think differently about the topic?

Your Analysis paper should be 3-4 pages long (750-1000 words) and be in MLA formatting. You should use Times New Roman, 12 point font with double-spacing. Use at least 2 direct quotes in your analysis.

*Note that for the rough draft, it should be a complete draft, but it does not have to be perfect. The rough draft is worth 25 points out of the 100 points for this analysis assignment.
