Each Student is required to prepare a paper, including an abstract, on a related topic of interest. Papers should be typed and double- spaced with correct spelling and sentence structure. Minimum length is four pages (not including bibliography or foot notes) Format Have a cover sheet Title of paper Your name Date Contents of Paper Include a brief introduction; the body of the paper should cover all the material pertinent to your topic History and statistics of disease process or entity Ultrasound in the diagnosis of disease Correlative imaging where applicable Treatment and prognosis of disease Drawings, illustrations, or sonograms Footnotes and References Read at least five current articles/ books on the topic and reference these articles. When you copy verbatim (also use quotation marks) or when you paraphrase an idea, number these and list them separately. Include any other source (internet, books, notes, handouts) from which you have obtained Presentation You will present your written project on the due date to the class. Presentations should be no longer than 10 minutes; 5 minutes recommended.

Pull out points of interest in your presentation. Make the main points of your presentation clear. The presentation must be organized. The presentation should contain images either from your study or one similar from the web. The presentation style can be your choice, not to exceed 10 minutes (5 minutes preferred). Include references on all images and articles (ex: list web site for images/information and name/volume number of articles). Examples of presentation styles: Power point/Prezi Poster 3D models Grading Criteria: Include history, laboratory data, physical findings, clinical impression, ultrasound findings, and follow up information (25) Familiarity with sonograms presented; ability to clearly explain details of the scans (i.e., orientation, anatomy, pathology), if using a clinical case protect patients confidentially, the name must be removed (30) Discussion of the technique used to delineate the anatomy and/or pathology, including the Sonographic characteristics and mention of the articles that support current interpretations and techniques in written format. (20) Presentation of the case study in an organized, professional manner.
