How do galleries work?
In your professional practice section of the logbook reflect on these two worlds; how they operate, differences, similarities, overlaps. For instance, you might research into the ways art is seen in the world: what kinds of spaces is art shown in? Who runs theses spaces ( the state, private individuals, artists…)? How do galleries work? Go to galleries and note how work is placed in space or on walls, how the environment affects the way we see the work, do galleries give viewers information, and if so, how?
