Basic Info: For this section, you will write an essay in response to the prompt given below. Your response should take the form of a standard five-paragraph essay. For this essay, you will read two chapters (don’t worry, they read fast and they’re short) from Northrop Frye’s The Educated Imagination. Then, you will write about 4-5 authors/texts of your choice from what we have read together this semester. You will answer a prompt that asks you to reflect on these authors/texts in light of what Frye has to say in his two chapters. Instructions for finding selections from Frye:1. Go to baylor.edu/lib. 2. In the search field for Onesearch, type in “Educated Imagination.” You should see a book that is available online called The Educated Imagination and Other Writings on Critical Theory.3. Read Chapter One (pp. 437-446) and Chapter Six (pp. 484-494). Essay Prompt:​In light of your reading of Northrop Frye’s chapters from The Educated Imagination, reflect on 4-5 writers/texts of your choice from throughout the semester (you should select at least two writers/texts from each half of the semester) and on the ways they have shaped, informed, or educated your own imagination. Drawing on specific arguments Frye develops and on specific passages from our reading, reflect on the following questions:How have the texts you’ve selected help you think in new ways about the value of literature?
