How we view the world depends in part on the particular language we have learned, the words that we have available used to describe things. When something is important in a culture there will be many worlds to describe it, in the US, time means money, and there are many words to desrcibe both.
Time intervals– nanosceonds, moment, minute, hour, era, afternoon, eternal, annual, weekly, bi-weekly, regularly.

Humans are wired for language, we communicate as babies through cries to our mothers, but other than that, language is learned.
Language is a system of sounds, gestures that are put together resulting in meanings that those understand that share
the language.

Each year languages die out or become extinct. Some say that this is a good thing since all the people of the world will have a common language one day. They note that we all can understand each other better or reduce the differences that set us apart or may cause prejudice.

On the other side, individuals note that languages dying out is not a good thing! Since when a language dies, so does the culture. They ask, “how can those people tell the stories and history if not in their native tongue.” They also note that differences between people is what makes us rich and diverse.
