Hypothetical questions to think about: Anyone ever have to pay full out-of-pocket price for prescription drugs? Anyone know of any senior citizens who have to pay full out-of-pocket price for prescription drugs? Well extremely high costly pharmaceuticals is one our problems (our = the United States). What goes on with other countries and pharmaceuticals? What goes on internationally? What is the WTO (Those were all hypothetical questions to get you thinking and prepared to answer the real discussion question DO NOT ANSWER THE ABOVE QUESTIONS.
Now read “Thinking Things Through” on page 189. (It is assumed that you have read the entire chapter). Here are your questions: What should we do about this international dilemma? ALSO- stick to the topic. As irresistible as it may be right now, do not use the hypothetical question (which is to get you thinking about this specific area) to focus on: “repeal and replace”, “repeal” or “Don’t end it amend it.” That is another discussion.
Second note – There is a plethora of articles out there on this issue. Using (not abusing by plagiarism) relevant articles to support your position can be helpful in adding insight to the discussion or in demonstrating that you understand the issues involved
