Company A employs over 150 at one location. Employee works in a warehouse that has been deemed an essential job during the COVID19 Pandemic. The warehouse is open to the public and is crowded. Company A is continuing business as usual for warehouse employees. Other employees of Company A, that do not work in the warehouse, have been allowed to work from home. . Company A offers paid time off (PTO) and insurance for all of its employees.. Simon is concerned about contracting COVID19 in the crowded warehouse especially since he has a pre-exitsting condition making him more susceptible to the virus and complications. Simon voices his concerns to his boss asking if he can use his PTO and stay home.
