M7 Concept Sketch

The purpose of this concept sketch is to apply network structure and concepts of homophily. As you learned in this module, consumers who are connected on social media are more likely to be similar than consumers who are not connected. As a result, it may be difficult for some types of content to pass across different local networks because consumers are less likely to share it with dissimilar individuals. Sketch a social network structure based on the following criteria: (Hint – refer to Module 6 Lecture on SMM engagement for more info on network effects and network structure)

-There are 12 total consumers in the network.
-The first six users are similar to each other (by interest in hobby A).
-The last six are similar to each other (by interest in hobby B).
-The two groups have different interests.
-There is at least one connection between the two groups.
-Social ties are formed based on concepts of homophily.
