Plan to train paraprofessionals and any other appropriate personnel in the behavior plan.
Design a Behavior Management Plan for a classroom of your choice (real or “hoped for” teaching position).
Generate a general description or profile of the class including: diversity, second language learners, socio-economic range, cultural background, numbers of boys and girls, etc.
Identify a behavioral need for all of the class and some individual students (at least two) with behavioral needs that may require more intensive interventions. Remember not to include identifying information for any students.
The plan must address: (6 requirements)
1. Organization of the room, considering your identified profile of the class.
2. At least three general classroom procedures chosen to respond to the class profile.
3. Two classroom behavioral needs (What behaviors are impeding their learning or that of their peers?).
4. Goals for a proposed behavior management plan to address the identified needs.
5. Plan to introduce it to the class.
6. Plan to train paraprofessionals and any other appropriate personnel in the behavior plan.
