The first Gif is named as Russian Ark. I chose the final clip of this film. Russian Ark is a film that compresses the history of Russia into one film so that all the plots before the final clip seems tight and carries a large amount of information. The final clip is the one that responds to the title of the film and it is the calmest one with the camera moving to the sea.
The second GIF is called Out of Context. I screenshoted some main scenes and randomly rearranged them. The background is black and each image was put to leave the black out, trying to point out that photography is not 100% telling the truth, even in a film. There are always some blind points that views can never see so that The blackness it for viewers to imagine what else is in that scene. Those images are chosen because they are either the main scenes that showed Russian history or they can show you the trick of the film camera.
