Looking at how research improvement works-it contributes to generalize knowledge before it can be started and must be approved by Institute Research Board which then applies the research data to ethics of all studies to assure no harm done to the participants. It may also aprove or disapprove the study or modify it. Important factors include: Forms test hypothesis, systematically studies a problem of interest, collects data and analyzes as well as interprets the findings of the data collection, dissemenates the findings (June Helbig, ).

Quality improvemnt-is a data driven and usually done to improve the quality of care provided to patients and it also may benefit the processes, systems, and possibly the patients. This process consists of systemiatic, and continous actions that leads to measurable improvemnts in the health services and health statistic of a targeted patient groups. Important factors: Focuses on systems and processes, establishes measures to determine if a sepchific change actually made improvements and finding to imporve quality care (June Helbig, )

Quanitative research is where the evaluatin of numbers and numeric variables result in measurable data. It relies on using scales. It uses nominal measurements, ordinal level measurements, interval level measurement, as well as ratio level measurement. THe data collected will analyze usig statistical analysis to answer the research questions. The example of this in the work place is using the data in the UA (urine Drug Screens to utilize the levels at which the urine is measuring (June Helbig, )

Qualatative research is used when evaluating non numeric numbers and variables that is collected through descriptive characteristics that cannot be measured with numbers. An example being a end of class survey when I teach CPR/ First AIde (June Helbig, ).
