Watch and Analyze the themes of the film ″ Timbuktu″

one recurrent theme of Timbuktu is resistance, the resistance of the diverse people of Timbuktu to the invasion of the Ansar Dine group of Islamicists. Who resists, how, and with what outcome? What does the use of the language in the film tell us about this place, and about the invaders? A few critics argued that the director, Abderrahmane Sissako, painted too soft a picture of the Islamic militants, showing their human side along with their harsh actions.
