What are the observations the narrator makes about the visiting family?

The narrator in Jhumpa Lahiri’s “The Boundary” is very observant. She pays attention to a familyvisiting the vacation house that her parents oversee. She is also reflective in terms of her family’sown past. Although the short story seems to follow these two threads, they blend in many ways tocreate a unified narrative.
