What critical lessons do Latinx/Chicanx activists and communities learn from, and by forming solidarities with, Black activist movements and communities?
Based on the two readings found in additional materials each discuss the ways Latinx/Chicanx communities have grappled with antiblackness. It address the significance of Black activist movements in shaping activism and calls for justice within Latinx/Chicanx communities. Using both of the texts answer the following 2 questions: 1.) Historically speaking, Why have particular Latinx/Chicanx communities prioritized whiteness?2.) What critical lessons do Latinx/Chicanx activists and communities learn from, and by forming solidarities with, Black activist movements and communities?
