Listen to the heart brain (Emotional) 3. What do I ‘Know’ I deserve in this course? Listen to the Gut brain (Willpower) I believe I deserve a B for this course. It was a lot of work but learned a lot and can’t wait to use this information in my near future. Something along those lines… it could be made up. Also, missing a few assignments. Regardless, I still believe I deserve a B for the course. Course Description – Social Work 118 was a course that consisted of an introduction to the assessment and treatment of alcoholism and other drugs (AOD) problems, with emphasis on the application of specific clinical social work strategies. Since substance abuse underline or coexist with a variety of other problems, including family violence, mental illnesses and health issues, the social worker trained in the assessment and treatment of chemical dependency will better able to assess and intervene appropriately.
