What the artist were thinking/trying/experimenting with?-What was the intent or purpose of making the artworks?-What influenced the making of the artwork? What new ideas did these artists have? Did they have an agenda? Political? Social? Did geography influence the work?
B. Visual characteristics (what the art looks like)-Describe it. -Discuss the subjects/objects/things in the art and how they look. -Is the work realistic, abstract, colorful, dreary, what elements of art do you see? Is the paint applied roughly or smooth? Use your own words to describe.C. The dates the movement took place and most influential artists of the period or movement. In early movements artist were not recorded so don’t worry about listing them.
