Write a paper comparing two poems from the anthology “Ozymandias” and “Ulysses”
The final assignment for the semester is an essay you write comparing two poems from the anthology. I recommend using “Ozymandias” by Percy Shelley and “Ulysses” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson because both of these poems are about powerful leaders who have become old or extinct. Ozymandias is dead and even his statue has crumbled to nothing. Ulysses, meanwhile, is old and wishes to have one last adventure before he dies.So, looking at these poems side-by-side, write an essay about what the poems teach us about politics, power, and growing old.
