Talk about the interview you did, what you learned about the family, their celebrations, their challenges, and their support systems. What things did you learn that will help you as a teacher in the future? Why was it important to understand the family and their needs and strengths? How will this information inform you about assigning homework to your students? What does it tell you about sending home notices through the student? What did you learn about how best to communicate with parents? Would you use digital communication with your families when teaching or texts or phone calls or send information with the student? Why or why not? When you find out a family needs help in an area, what will you do?
