There would be 50 observations from each state. The dependent variable would be the labor force participation rate, and it would be compared to independent variables. The significant independent variables that will be used will be: education levels, gender distribution, age distribution, state GDP, and disability rates (how healthy that state population is). Other variables do affect the labor participation rate, but these are a good starting point. These will all be important to address in the introduction and “why” statements. The literature review section needs to include highly relevant information from academic sources only. There is no need to include more sources than the required five, if you see it necessary, please don’t include more than two extra. I’ll include an attachment with a literature review example that we were given. This section is meant to educate the reader further on this topic and why these things are impactful on this data. It is also imperative to transition the reader into the next part of the term paper which is the empirical equation which will look something like labor force participation rate (in-state x) = f(an education measure, a measure of how healthy the population is, etc.). This equation will include ALL independent variables with coefficients. The hypothesis will go over whether I expect each part of the equation (each variable and coefficient) to end up negatively or positively impacting the overall labor force participation rate estimate based on this regression equation. This section must also include the data. I’ll need data points of all of these independent variables from each state ALL FROM THE SAME YEAR. (Let’s do 2022). Then I’ll need to provide some descriptive statistics using STATA, which I can do. The next part is all about the results, which will focus on the estimated coefficients that have been calculated and their meanings, standard errors/t-statistics, adjusted R-squared value, and the F-statistic. Then there has to be a full discussion on whether or not the results met the expectations discussed. Provide some comments about the fit of the overall equation by discussing the adjusted R-squared and the F-test values. Finally, discuss the implications of your findings. If you found what you expected, what does this mean? If you didn’t find what you expected, can you shed some light on the situation? Then a conclusion that draws everything together! This is being turned in in Mississippi where the labor participation rate is rather low so it could be related to that perhaps or even broader. It would be great if it related to Mississippi. *******Please come to me with any questions and if you don’t feel well-versed on this topic please don’t go forward in doing it. I need someone who is both familiar with APPLIED STATISTICS AND ECONOMICS. I’m more than happy to help.******* The data needs to be one spreadsheet that has 50 observations, all 50 states going down column A (the states are the rows), and the following data points for the top row: % of state pop With a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (2022), Male to Female Ratio By State (2022), Working Age Population: Aged 15-64 By State (2022), State GDP 2022, percentage of population on disability by state (2022). I will be able to use this data to create tables and graphs. If you can help me create lines of best fit, please help me do that, also graphs and charts and any visualizations would be helpful. I’m also going to use this spreadsheet to upload onto STATA. I’m attaching the paper guide she gave to us that doesn’t go into any detail about this topic directly. This is my fourth topic now and this class has been a little bit of a nightmare so any expert help is SO appreciated. Thank you in advance. If you take care of me, I’ll take care of you.
