Assignment Instructions: Research Design and Methods Hallmark Assignment This assignment is designed to help you think about creating rigorous, high-quality methods for a project proposal. This type of paper often takes multiple revisions and reviews. In addition, a brief and cogent synthesis and summary of the literature review that you have completed in Module 12 is required. Work closely with the faculty to write cogent and succinct methods and literature review synthesis sections.

Submission Parameters: Use the following guidelines and criteria to develop this assignment. Also, refer to the rubric for point allocation and assignment expectations. The expected length of the paper is approximately 3-5 pages, which does not include the cover page and reference page(s). Five to eight references should be included in this assignment. Introduction (including purpose statement) Provide a brief introduction to your topic including the background and significance of the clinical problem. Also, please include your research question (this section may be one page).

Provide a brief and cogent synthesis and summary of the literature review (this section may be one page). Explain your proposed Research Design. This should tell the reader how you plan to answer your research question, the type of investigation you are proposing, and why that decision is appropriate for the question you have asked. What kind of quantitative or qualitative approach will you take to answer your research question? (this section may be two to three pages).

Conclusion. Summarize for your reader the research question you intend to address and the design methodology you propose to find the answer to your question.
