Uncategorized Assignment-helpYou will share your preliminary research question with the class, and help others brainstorm ways in which that question can be constructed in such a way that it is directed at a particular decision making authority. The point of sharing your question/topic is so that other people can give you suggestions about who to research/focus on as a subject for your audience. Reminder: Your audience should not be general (“anybody interested in…”) nor should it be vague (“computer science students”). It should be honed down to a very specific person (i.e. Marcia McNutt, President of the National Academy of Sciences).By 7/31 at 11:59 pm, upload a short document (400 words or so) that includes your research question, followed by three potential decision-makers to use as an audience for this (Project #3: Issue, Audience, and Genre) assignment/the final (Project #4) advocacy letter assignment. You should detail who these decision-makers are (name(s), organizations, affiliations) and provide a sentence to explain why they might make a good audience for your letter. Then, you will respond to the student who posted most recently before you (as of the time you start composing your post). Read their description of their research question/project and respond in two ways. 1) Are there any other on-topic issues that would be important to decision making authorities (or general stakeholders) that the student should consider addressing? 2) Give an example of at least one other decision-making authority that the student should consider (this may take some research!) and explain why they would be good for the project, based on how it is described.Check back to this thread once somebody has responded to your post and take their ideas into consideration!
