Once the topic is chosen, think about what the audience should do with this information. At the end of the speech, what would you ask the audience to do? This requirement is all about advocacy, the ability to pick a side of the topic and advocate for that side. If you want the audience to change something, do something different, or believe something that you believe, then you need to be able to articulate that.
