Creative Writing: Defending the Defenseless

Assume the role of the Handicapper General Diana Moon Glampers from the short story, “Harrison Bergeron”. You are now on TV being interviewed a day after you shot Harrison Bergeron. Do your best thinking and come up with as real a reason for defending Diana Moon Glampers, the Government office of Handicapper General, or a government that would put limitations on citizens to create a more equal society. Dialogue back and forth between the TV interviewer and Ms Glampers, explaining why it is important to level the playing field in America. AFTER you defend her, you may end the story any appropriate way you want (simply end the discussion… stage a second revolt… whatever.)
