August 3, 2020 Comments Off on Define the problem you are addressing Uncategorized Assignment-helpThis is the second of two culminating assignments for the course in which students are expected to apply knowledge learned throughout the course in a logical, accurate, and cohesive manner. Students will work individually or in teams (no more than 3 people per team) to design and implement (to the extent possible) an innovative solution to changing public perceptions and knowledge of mental illness and/or substance use. Individuals or Teams will upload their presentations into Canvas for the grade AND to the innovative presentations’ discussion post by August 6, 2020. Although the presentation can be done as a team project, each student on the team is responsible for submitting independently developed written papers for each of the stages of the project. The project will be developed in stages with critical feedback and suggestions provided after each step. It is expected that the feedback will be addressed and incorporated in the final submission. For the written project updates, the state definition of college-level writing will be applied, i.e., the paper must be clearly and logically organized, utilize correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and word usage; flow logically and smoothly from one sentence to the next and from one section to the next. Although this is only a first draft, it is expected that the paper will address all of the components required (5 pieces as outlined in the abstract) and will reflect the standards for college level writing. The draft will be graded using the rubric provided in class and feedback will be provided to help you in improving your second submission. Up to 25 points may be earned for the first draft. Even though a second draft will be submitted, the points for the first draft will remain the same as originally graded.
