The bank manager had called and reported that Peter had accused the cashier of stealing his student tuition money and had refused to leave.Although Peter showed early promise in his academic studies his behaviour had become increasingly odd during his final year. He stopped seeing his friends and no longer seemed to care about his appearance or social pursuits. He wore the same clothes every day, refused to wash or comb his hair and rarely spoke to anyone. He had been living with family members but did not speak to them. On rare occasions when he did interact, he would often talk about how he had found clues that his University was just a front for an organized crime operation. He had begun to fail his studies due to lack of engagement. His brother said that he had often seen him mumbling quietly to himself and at times he seemed to be talking to people who were not there. He could be heard talking to himself in his room.In the emergency room, Peter was found to be a poorly groomed young man who seemed inattentive and preoccupied. His family said that they had never known him to use drugs or alcohol, and his drug screening results were negative. He did not want to eat the meal offered by the hospital staff and voiced concern that they might be trying to hide drugs in his food. 1.
