Written Assignment: Students are required to write an original assignment to be turned in any time before the class closes () . It will be worth as much as one average regular test. This assignment gives you the opportunity to be creative. It does NOT involve researching already published studies. Instead, it allows you to utilize your own imagination and reasoning. Your assignment should be clearly divided into three LABELLED sections:Section 1: Problem or Question. Describe a real-life problem or question involving psychological issues, for example, racial tensions, domestic violence, factors related to spouse selection, how can people be prevented from shoplifting, how people can be encouraged to wear masks, etc. You are encouraged to add a little research data here to better define the problem such as the extent of the problem, the number of people affected, etc.Section 2: Method. This study can be of any one of the types — naturalistic observation, quasi-experiment, etc.,– described in lecture. Include:a. Any special equipment you might neede.Procedures, i.e, exactly what would be done step-by-step (This should be the most detailed section.)f.How the results would be analyzed and what form would they have to take in order for you to say that your hypothesis is supported Section 3: Application.
