Bridging the Gap: Using Statistics to Explore Global Issues at Local Levels The assignment addresses the Foundations of Knowledge and Learning (FKL)dimensions of Critical Thinking, Inquiry Based Learning, Quantitative Literacy, and Global Context. In 2016, the United Nations implemented Sustainable Development Goals superseding its Millennium Development Goals. With 17 SDGs, as defined in Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN committed itself and 193 member governments to a 15-year development strategy as a pathway for ending poverty, expanding social justice, and strengthening equality:~~~~~~~~~~~~Important: We are focusing on SDG #3 which is good health and well-being.Step 2: Go to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Website (https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/sdgs). Read the description of the issue and objectives for your selected problem. Write a brief summary of the issue and its global significance using quantitative support.Step 3: Using what you have learned in class, construct a survey containing different levels of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval/ratio) that could be used to address this issue on a local scale.Your survey should contain at least 10 questions that will help you assess how much our students here the university understand the nature and severity of the problem. Survey at least 15 students in your university. Step 4: Using results of the survey collected(based on Step 3), compare student data and global data derived from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Website mentioned above.
