Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels discuss in the Manifesto of the Communist Party such topics as class struggles in that bourgeois and proletarians seek to control the means or instruments of production. One may argue that the second, also known as the working class, is merely a commodity (of exploitation/enslavement) in the hands of the second, i.e. capitalists. Do you dis/agree with this view? While economic struggle is not the only struggle that many societies face today, it still represents the central one that does not only condition and influence other struggles (e.g. political, cultural, or even power).
