In this project you will be collecting data from the Internet, analyzing it, and writing a report on your findings. This project will be graded out of 100 points and is worth 20% of your course grade.This is what have to do:Collect data from the InternetPick an area that interests youExamples: Data on movies, companies, celebrities, books, albums, works of art, artists, TV shows, cable channels, homes, cars, computers, phones, countries, states, cities, foods, wines, universities, professions, hospitals, airports, airplanes, restaurants…Data must contain at least two quantitative variables and 3-5 categorical variables. (Date is not a quantitative variable unless you plan to convert it to age which is a quantitative variable)Each line corresponds to data on one movie.Need at least 50 lines of data. More is better.Put it in a spreadsheet and format it so that it is easy to read.Think of 3 questions that you want your data to answer. These must be interesting questions. Questions with no obvious motivation will get lower grades. Examples: Does a movie’s rating have an influence on how much money it makes? Do superhero movies make more money than other kinds of movies?Analyzing the dataQuantitative variables: appropriate graphs, summary measures (mean, standard deviation, 5-number summary, histograms). Look for relationships between your quantitative variables. Categorical variables: at least one pivot table. Your pivot table/s should describe all your categorical variables and relate them to the quantitative variables. One table can describe more than one variable.
