Question/Prompt:  Using the assigned readings, answer the following question:  How can we validly study an individual student?  Prompts must be between 400-600 words. Instructor Introduction Post: This discussion board is not intended to trick you, so I will point something right off. Single Subject design can be a qualitative case study, but it may stand on its own with special statistical analyses (quantitative). Distinguishing between qualitative and quantitative is not the issue here. I’m looking for the “how” as the main focus (which could include a research method means). Single subject is not uncommon in many arenas of education, especially special education or early childhood education. After reading the chapters and looking at the PPTs, you should be able to describe the “how” of studying individual students with high validity. Please remember to reply to two peers’ post.
