It is important to understand that conflict is not only unavoidable, but it is actually “necessary” in order to promote growth and learning. Conflict also helps promote “unlearning” and helps us challenge our mental models so we are more likely to be receptive to new perspectives.Identify a time when you experienced ‘relationship conflict’. Briefly describe the conflict. Analyze your experience and identify what made the conflict escalate into relationship conflict.
