Foucault- The Birthplace of Biopolitics (read Chapter 1, pages 1-13 for April 21st and Chapter 8, pages 185-202

OverviewThese are brief assignments where you will select a reading from the previous month, further analyze it, and then argue for or against its conclusions. At minimum, this will entail three direct quotations from the selected paper and three points of argument dealing with claims made in the quoted passages. Monthly writing assignments will always be due the second Friday of the following month (i.e. a February writing assignment would be due, electronically or hard copy, by noon on 3/13/2020). Requirements-At minimum 750 words but no more than 1000, typed and submitted electronically as a word document-At least direct quotation of three passages from one selected reading -The construction of a relevant, original argument about the chosen reading (the usage of a primary is highly recommended).-Remember, these are due by noon the second Friday of the month following when the reading was discussed in class
