How can digital learning help people in developing nations catch up with people in developed nations?
work on introducing and improving digital product design and digital media in Africa and the world using available resources in mass media, politic, institutions and building a robust creative technology civil society. During this period of the corona virus pandemic I realize a lot of institutions in Nigeria where I came from and most Africa countries couldn’t operate any longer due to the lock down, there are no online or technological no means of remotely carrying out lecture’s and other projects in schools and society including business except the old traditional way of physical meetings or gathering while other develop countries schools, businesses and health still operates irrespective of the whole issue and lockdown around the world. The question that generated from this curiosity are; Does digital learning equal the playing field for underrepresented groups? How can digital learning help people in developing nations catch up with people in developed nations? Does digital learning help or hinder important skills like critical thinking? How should traditional education change to keep up with digital learning?Are students with no access to computers in the classroom (traditional learning) learning more than those who have constant access via iPads or computers or vice versa?I think the question of how digital learning and the Internet is changing the way we educate and learn and do business and how to introduce and design a medium to bridge the gap with developed countries changing learning practices and pedagogies in the writing classroom is perhaps one of the key investigations of my research proposal.So I want my research proposal to come out of this above brief explanation. one or two pages document outlining my research proposal for PhD program in creative technology not a personal statement.
