How do the literary/poetic/musical elements support that argument?

The analysis that follows should detail the criteria you use to make your judgment.  You should, however, avoid arguing about or with the movement’s or performer’s central goals or ideas—you are simply evaluating the job the song does to present those ideas.  You should also include a clear and precise description of the song (its genre, lyrics, etc.) that gives the reader a clear mental image of the song. The description typically comes in or immediately after your introductory paragraph.  Beyond considering the issues you have read about in this course, you may want to consider the following: Identify the main goals of the movement.  What is the movement protesting? Who is the audience (the opposition, the media, fellow protesters)? What argument does the song make? How do the literary/poetic/musical elements support that argument? If you chose a particular performance of the song, how does the live performance support the message?
