How does Oedipus follow his outline perfectly?

This week we read Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex and we discussed Aristotle’s Poetics, in which he laid out an outline for the proper tragedy. The videos in the information document also review his outline of tragedy.Aristotle claimed that Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex best followed his outline. How does Oedipus follow his outline perfectly? In answering this question consider the basic elements of his outline and use specific examples from the text to support your argument. For instance, Is the main character a basically good character, who makes a mistake in judgment that causes a reversal in fortune? How is that shown in the play?
