In Flannery O’Connor’s short story, “A Good Man Is Hard to Find,” one event causes another that in turn causes another event that leads to the death of the family. Something as simple as bringing a cat on trip leads to the death of six people. Write a paper arguing whether or not it was the grandmother’s fault that everyone died. Is she to be held responsible? Why or why not? Make sure you use the story as evidence as well as your own reasoning and analysis to prove your point.
