Thus, they wanted her jailed. III.In the 2016 presidential elections, the winner lost the elections.•Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the Electoral College vote. •Hillary Clinton won the most votes in the elections that year. •Even though these results were similar to what happened in 2000, 1888, and 1876, the world was shocked because of Trump’s win given he was considered unsuitable for the post he vied for. IV.The presidential election in 2016 was marred by external interference•Russia was accused of meddling in the affairs of the US by influencing the election results in favor of Donald Trump. •The US government accused Russia of leaking documents belonging to the Democratic Party to WikiLeaks and other media outlets. V.Conclusion•The presidential elections in the US in 2016 were the most controversial the country has witnessed.
