The video Towards a Hate-Free Millennium will be used to present each client’s story. A specific theoretical approach will then be applied with each individual as follows: 1. Apply Adlerian therapy to Matthew Shepherd’s mother. 2. Apply Existential or Person-Centered, or other theory covered in class to this point (except psychoanalytic or Adlerian) to any other individual in the video. 3. Apply REBT, Cognitive, Feminist, Reality therapy, or a theory you have not used before (excluding psychoanalytic) to someone in the video not in your first two papers. Do not use a theory you have used in a previous paper. The written assignments should include a ‘process recording’ format utilizing a T: Therapist and C: Client designation preceding each spoken emission. Delineate a therapeutic interaction with the specified client and apply at least four theoretical concepts from the theory assigned for that particular individual. Use only one of the theoretical approaches in each case. The assignments should be formatted as below: · Use the Title page format as illustrated on the last page of this Syllabus. · Brief History of the case (3/4 paragraph minimum). · Assessment of the presenting problem (3/4 paragraph minimum). · Treatment Plan based on the specific theoretical intervention (3/4 paragraph  minimum). · Process Recording presentation applying at least four concepts (Specify which concept or technique you are using in (Bold Print) in parentheses each time they are used in the Process Recording) and demonstrate each with three to five Therapist/Client verbal exchanges for each concept. (4-6 pages) · Conclusion: write a brief self-analysis of your intervention (i.e. what you did in the session, thoughts for future sessions, and what came up for you (counter-transference) during the session (1 page)
