ASSIGNMENT III: TRANSACTION ANALYSIS/PROCESS RECORDING-DIRECTIONS:•Please complete all sections of Part I thoroughly, but succinctly. The goal in this section is to offer contextual information for the portion of the session with your client that you are analyzing. •In Part II: complete the transaction analysis as follows:oUnder Transaction: Document the actual transaction between you and your client. When the client(s) is speaking, identify it by preceding the statement(s) with “C” (for client). When you are responding to the client’s statement, identify your statement by preceding it with “SWI” (for Social Work Intern). Remain as faithful to the transaction as possible, and always place the client statement first. Statements should be verbatim. In other words, “was it reflective of the client’s emotional message?” This is where review of the first three columns and critically analyzing/synthesizing the entire process is documented. For example, do you think your response was on target? Give reasons as to why or why not. Identifying specific skill sets utilized or specific theories/modalities employed and why the decision was made to do so should be documented in this section. Do you believe a trauma-informed perspective was used or is relevant?
